Presque Isle, PA

Another cool day of driving on the flat, lake-covered country in Indiana and Ohio.  When we left the Indian Lakes campground this morning, we passed by a lot of Amish farms.  It looked like there was a lot of horse and buggy traffic.  Vi figured out that they were taking their children to school.

We traveled east on US 20 rather than US 6.  It paralleled 80/90 and was a lot more picturesque.  Only a two lane road, but there wasn't much traffic.  Stopped in Angola, OH to do some shopping at Walmart.  Hard to park the RV in a double spot, but we just blocked one exit lane. Around Toledo, we moved over to the Ohio Turnpike which is actually I-80 and I-90.  Wasn't sure what the tolls were, but they weren't too bad when we exited the Ohio Turnpike and took I-90 east to Cleveland.  Cleveland is a pretty city and the interstate goes right through downtown by the stadium.  Could have stopped at the Rock and Roll Museum, but decided to pass.

Amazing how many people are searching for help.  Almost every shop/restaurant/store along our way has signs asking for people to come in and interview.  Maybe when the unemployment payments run out in June, the situation will change - until then they are really suffering for a lack of help.

We made a reservation at Presque Isle RV Resort and it was really easy to reach - Exit 18 in PA and turn left - there it was.  However, it is far enough from the interstate that the noise doesn't reach here.  It's another great campground - booked up for the weekend, but they had space tonight.  After setting up, we drove down to the waterfront - there's a big area for recreation, swimming, and boating on Lake Erie.    Then we turned around and headed to the Presque Isle Casino and Race Track which was a subsidiary of the Eldorado in Reno, but now is in the Caesar's chain. They still haven't figured out how to integrate the two Rewards programs, but they're working on it.  Right now you use one card for Eldorado casinos and another for Caesar's (even though legally they're one entity).

Good evening at the casino, ate dinner, and then played for a while before heading back to the campground.  Tomorrow should be an easy drive to the Rochester area.
